Returns
There are 3 types of returns possible: Exchanges, Returns for Credit, and Returns for Refund. We especially recognize the need to accommodate exchanges when purchases are made online — and we really encourage trying a size first, then exchanging if needed.
For US Orders

You have 30 days from delivery to initiate a return or exchange. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in original condition — and tags must be attached. We can't accept anything that's been worn or shows signs of use. Items in this condition will not be processed or refunded.
Items labeled and sold as "Final Sale" cannot be returned.
For European Orders
The following EU member states are fulfilled from our Netherlands warehouse, with all duties and VAT prepaid at checkout — no unexpected charges on delivery:

EU Right of Withdrawal (EU member states only): Under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU), you have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of delivery without giving any reason and without paying a restocking fee. We will refund the full product price plus your original standard shipping cost within 14 days of receiving your return (or proof of shipment, whichever is earlier). Return shipping is at your expense; if we failed to clearly inform you of this before your purchase, we will cover the cost.
Final Sale items: The 14-day Right of Withdrawal applies to all standard items, including those marked "Final Sale." Final Sale restrictions apply only to returns requested after the 14-day withdrawal period has passed. The Right of Withdrawal does not apply to items made to your custom specifications or personalized to your order.
Diminished value: We may deduct from your refund if returned items show handling beyond what's necessary to inspect them (e.g., signs of wear, removed tags, damage caused after receipt).
All Other Countries
Orders outside the regions listed above ship from our US warehouse. To initiate a return, please email help@happyearthapparel.com. Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
The Policy (US & European Orders)
Each order must have an RMA. Standard returns and exchanges are processed through the portal below. EU member state customers exercising the 14-day Right of Withdrawal should use the withdrawal form instead.
- 1. Returns must be created through the portal. Do not return items with a label purchased outside of the portal.
- 2. Do not combine returns. Each return must only contain the items on the RMA.
Preparing Your Return
Fold garments neatly and use your original shipping bag if you still have it. Please avoid shipping in a box if possible. European orders (Netherlands warehouse): your RMA confirmation will include the Netherlands return address.

Orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days. We utilize USPS and UPS for shipping. Special requests may be accommodated at the customer's expense.
Please ensure the shipping address is entered correctly when checking out. If changes are needed, send us an email and we'll do our best to accommodate before shipment. Once an order is shipped, we cannot change the address and will not re-ship to a different address.
