We didn't come here to 𝒔𝒆𝒍𝒍 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔.

It's not your average origin story.

We're scientists on a mission to do good. And we take that as seriously as any research we've ever done.

WHERE IT STARTED

A mission, 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒂 𝒎𝒂𝒓𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒐𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒚.

We founded Happy Earth while completing graduate degrees in biomedical sciences. No fashion background, no business plan, no industry connections. Just a love for the outdoors, an affection (obsession) for comfy clothes, and the kicker — a shared frustration: people cared deeply about the planet, but the environmental conversation wasn't reaching them. It was dense, distant, and frankly, kind of depressing.

We wanted to find a more fun, personal way to connect people to the places and stories that matter. So we started with tees. Simple designs dedicated to specific ecosystems. Worn on trails and travels, connecting the tees to the natural places people actually loved. And every purchase funded conservation for those places. Our community formed around curiosity, care, and time spent outside.

That spirit hasn't changed. The clothes have gotten better, the science has gotten deeper, and the mission has only sharpened.

The people behind 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒖𝒓𝒑𝒐𝒔𝒆.

CO-FOUNDER · DESIGN

Victoria

She's got a Ph.D. in biomed and that research-driven instinct didn't stop in the lab — it's behind every material decision Happy Earth makes. As the brand's creative, Victoria designs one-of-a-kind pieces that translate earth's natural beauty into clothes meant to carry a little of that worldly aura with you, on and off the trails.

CO-FOUNDER · OPERATIONS

David

He's the reason "we've verified this" actually means something here. David is the dedicated supply chain and systems mind of the brand. From sourcing integrity to factory relationships, David makes sure that every promise Happy Earth makes is traceable, audited, and real — not just good marketing
copy.

HOW WE OPERATE

Science-backed. 𝑬𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒕-𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒇𝒊𝒆𝒅.

As scientists, we have a deep respect for expertise. We don't claim to know everything, we partner with the people who do: specialists in organic certification, carbon reduction, ethical labor, and environmental giving. Everything we say about our products is backed by third-party audits, not self-reporting.

We went all-in on organic.

Most clothing is plastic. Polyester, acrylic, nylon — ultra-processed, ultra-cheap, and not what a brand rooted in the earth should be made of. We use only natural fibers, certified GOTS organic. No toxic chemicals from seed to stitch, verified by independent experts — not us.

We traced cotton back to its roots.

Conventional cotton farming devastates the places around it. Chemical runoff, pesticide poisoning of waterways, communities + wildlife endangered alongside each other. We source from regions where cotton has grown natively for thousands of years, needing far less water + zero chemical intervention.

We took the toxics research personally.

Studies link chemicals in synthetic fibers, dyes, and fixatives to hormone disruption and cancer — absorbed through skin, especially during activity when pores open. Victoria's background in cancer biology made this impossible to ignore.

We only work with factories that put people first.

Fashion's human cost is just as real as its environmental one. We work exclusively with Fair Trade certified factories —independently audited for safe conditions, living wages, and dignified work. We don't check this ourselves. We trust the experts whose entire job it is to know.

FOUNDED TO GIVE BACK

In the business of 𝒅𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒈𝒐𝒐𝒅.

We give back to the ecosystems our designs are drawn from, because it would be hollow to celebrate a place without fighting for it. A portion of every purchase goes to conservation, and you choose the what to support. The mountain that grounds you. The ocean you keep returning to. The forest you walked through once and never forgot. Your purchase, your cause.

Plant Trees

Planting trees and restoring forests. Protecting the lungs of a living planet, and habitat for everything in them.

Clean Up Trash

Removing the pollution that chokes rivers, coastlines, and oceans. Plus stopping it from getting there.

Reduce GHGs

Reducing emissions and investing in renewables, because the climate crisis is the backdrop for all of it.

Happy Earth isn't 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒂 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆.

It's the only metric that matters. Everything we make, every partner we choose, every dollar we give back, it's all in service of that one simple, enormous idea: leaving this place a little better than we found it.
